Hay budden anvil serial numbers10/29/2022 BOKER to TRENTON.) Hay-Budden produced some 307,000 marked anvils from 1892 to 1925, or an average of some 9,300 anvils per year.A few years ago I did get another HB which is a blacksmith anvil and weighs 252 lbs. It is not known what they represented.) It is also not known how many German (or Boker) Trentons may have been imported.Not counting possibly unmarked seconds, or serial numbers starting with an A, CF&I produced over 225,000 anvils from 1898 until mid-1953. we who forge non ferrous metals for jewelry like a mirror finish face, so I likely will grind this one up & use it happily for the rest of my days That looks like a fairly thin midbody on that anvil.(Note: Hay-Budden started using an A in front of their serial numbers in 1918, reverting back to embarking with the number one. 128# and not a mark on the face - like it was infrequently (or never) used.this is a new addition for the workshop & I sense lucky to have it. thanks, when you have a chance to look I'd sure appreciate it. If anyone has the Anvils in America book & can let me know the year of manufacture for my Hay Budden anvil, serial 198337, I would really appreciate it.
